Over the 18 years of its existence, EKS has grown into a renown organization specialized in adult education and career counselling, both at national and European level. We work with various disadvantaged groups (long-term unemployed persons, women on maternity and parental leave, the elderly, migrants) as well as professionals in the field of counselling and education (teachers, trainers, career counsellors and coaches). We cooperate with schools, universities and other stake holders in the field of education with the focus on improving the quality of career guidance for adults and children. We have participated in several international projects aimed at sharing of good practice in education and career counselling for disadvantaged groups and for young people.
Would you like to cooperate with us? Do you want to know more about our projects? Let us know, we'll get back to you.
Our projects are focused on:
September 2018 – August 2021
The project is a follow up to the Erasmus+ project called Diversity in Career Counselling, which took place in 2015 - 2017. It addresses the challenges faced by the career guidance professionals working with young people in the ever changing globalised Europe of the 21st century, when only few people receive proper career services when making career choices. Consequently, those choices are made on the basis of stereotypes, role models, media and social situation, and not by the young people’s actual values and competences.
The project aims at developing strategies and tools for the career practitioners who work with young people across Europe. We bring together practitioners from different contexts and different countries. In particular, our partners are The University of Derby (UK), VIA University College (Denmark), The University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations (Greece).

Our intention is to support mothers of small children in the regions of Hradec Králové, Pardubice and Vysočina to start a career after parental leave, with regard to the trends prevailing currently in the respective regional labour markets. Project participants will map their strengths and competencies, practice job selection procedures, develop management competencies and create a career action plan with the help of coaches and mentors. The project directly supports 120 participants and we will publish three labour market analyses.

The project "Prague is our home" (project number CZ.03.2.X/0.0/0.0/18_095/0011223) is supported by EU funds with the help of the Operational Programme Employment Czechia.
January 2020 - June 2022
The aim of the project is to contribute to enhance the democratic climate at schools at four selected primary schools in Prague through education and long-term support from teachers. For the purposes of the project, democracy means the possibility for pupils (and therefore also their parents) to become co-creators of their own educational process and, thanks to this, to take more responsibility for their own current and future educational path.
In the long term, the project focuses on prevention of early school leaving and on increasing the quality and availability of primary education. We aim to strengthen the quality of education by incorporating elements of the personal, social and civic competence building into teaching, by promoting a democratic culture, respect for diversity and understanding in the school community, and by strengthening the cooperation between school and parents.
